Hello and welcome to Melvin Nicholson Photography or in other words, me. I have to assume that if you have made it to this page, you have had a wander through my gallery images and wondered who I was. Well, I’m Melvin, a 44-year-old full-time professional landscape photographer who is based in Preston, Lancashire. I run landscape photography workshops in the UK and in Iceland ranging from one day to eight. I also offer personalised 1-2-1 tuition days for those who prefer to receive assistance on their own.
I obtained my Licentiateship distinction with the Royal Photographic Society in 2012 and aim to submit my Associate panel next year. I have had my work published in national and international magazines and I have my work permanently exhibited in various establishments in the Lake District and Scotland however it is the teaching and assisting side of photography that I love. The desire to help others to realise their dreams and aspirations in not only improving their photography but to enjoy it more as a result is the very thing that has me enjoy what I do so much.
Running workshops and 1-2-1 tuition days is not a job to me, it is a way of life. I live, breathe, eat and sleep landscape photography and if you feel that am able to help you with your photography, feel free to get in touch.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
